Continuing apologies as I catch up with race results.

Macclesfield Shield 20K 8th April 2017

Roy Gunnett reports:

The race was held on the normal tough hilly course over 6 laps. It was a very pleasant warm sunny day (over 20C) with a clear blue sky throughout the race.

Adrian Edwards easily won the scratch race. Dan Maskell, up from Brighton, walked a strong race to come second. Roy Gunnett won the handicap prize and the Macclesfield Shield.

Special thanks are due to Eric Horwill who travelled up from the Midlands to do the timekeeping. This freed up Fred to be able to man the road junction the walkers have to cross on each lap.
